As we head into the winter months, more of us than ever are searching for a way to escape the dreary confines of our own country and head abroad. There are, after all, so many different types of holiday and many ways to escape and find some winter sun. There is nothing better than laying on a beach or exploring somewhere new and beautiful than knowing everyone back home is miserable in the rain! Are you looking to book a holiday for this time of year? If so, there are a few different types that you can choose between. Here we take a look at three types of holiday to consider.

An all-inclusive resort trip

There is something about an all-inclusive that just takes all the stress out of travel. You know that as soon as you arrive you can indulge in all the food and drink that you wish, without having to spend an extra penny. When doing your cost calculation for your trip, this means you can splurge in other areas, such as on your excursions or if you want to take a private jet or luxury transfer. There are so many places around the world where you can enjoy a luxury all-inclusive hotel, do your research and find those that tick all the boxes. Be sure to look at reviews ahead of time!

A cruise

If you are someone that loves to see new places but doesn’t like the idea of having to move hotels every few days, a cruise could be the perfect option for you. With a cruise you can either fly to a destination and catch the ship from there, or you can sail from a port near where you live. On a cruise you tend to have all your food included and then can either add a drinks package or pay for them as you go. You get the chance to stop at multiple cities and countries without any hassle of having to get there yourself.

A road trip

If you are someone that loves to travel to multiple places, a road trip is a fantastic option. You could choose to fly somewhere and then hire a car or a campervan. When here you can stay in multiple places, seeing a host of sites and attractions. You could visit local vineyards or cheese shops, historic monuments and many restaurants and places of natural beauty. There is no more freeing way to travel, allowing you to just move at your own pace, staying somewhere longer if you love it or moving on if you are done with the place.

These are just a few holiday ideas that you can indulge in this winter. While the weather might be drab and dreary, there’s no reason you can’t escape with your other half, your family or your friends to sunnier climes. Have you recently booked a winter break away?
