A sea of 14000 black and white souvenir cards will be held aloft by supporters to welcome St Mirren onto the pitch for this weekend’s Co-operative Insurance Cup Final at Hampden.
Renfrewshire Council and Paisley Vision Board have produced the cards which will be placed on every St Mirren supporter’s seat ahead of the match against Rangers on Sunday.
The cards have been created as a keepsake for supporters and have been signed by the St Mirren team.
They will also provide fans with details of after-match entertainment taking place in Paisley town centre.
Entertainment begins in County Square at 6pm, with live DJ Phil Clark playing all fans’ favourite tunes.
In the event of St Mirren winning the cup an open-top bus is planned to bring the team back to the town via Causeyside Street, Gilmour Street and ending in County Square.
Renfrewshire Council Leader, and Chair of Paisley Vision Board, Derek Mackay, said: “The black and white cards are a memento of the great achievement of St Mirren getting to the cup final. I will be joining the fans to cheer them on at Hampden on Sunday and have no doubt they can go all the way”
