Dr. Money is an ex Paisley lad educated at Camphill senior secondary in paisley. Then continued his education at Glasgow University. He has published over eighty papers describing his research in synthesis and biosynthesis. Accepted into the Royal Society of Chemistry
Dr. Money born Paisley March 25 1932 graduated from University of Glasgow in 1957 with a B.sc degree (1st.class honours) & the special prize in organic chemistry. He was awarded a Ph.D. in 1961 for research carried out under Professor R.A.Raphael, F.R.S. After periods of postdoctoral research with Professor Paul De Mayo at the University of Western Ontario and with Professor A.I. Scott at the University of British Columbia Vancouver, he joined the faculty at UBC in 1964. He was appointed Killam Fellow in 1971-72 and promoted to full Professor in 1975. The degree of D.sc from the University of Glasgow was awarded in 1975 for his contributions to natural product synthesis and biosynthesis. He has published over eighty papers and reviews describing his research results and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Chemistry, and a Chartered Chemist. In July 1997 he was appointed Professor Emeritus of Chemistry at the University of British Columbia in recognition of his contributions & service .
