Buy smart and stay safe this Christmas
December 18, 2018How and Where to Meet New People When You Relocate
December 19, 2018The festive period is the best time of the year which everyone looks forward to; from having family dinners to catching up with old friends, but to make the holiday season step up a notch, it is always a good idea to go out with your family and enjoy the festivities. Every year brings new activities, and it is a good idea to go out and enjoy some of these offerings. This year around thanks to our friends at TheDadsnet here are three go-to places in and around London that you should definitely include in your schedule:
1) Hyde Park Winter Wonderland
The first on the list is the Winter Wonderland which is open till 6th of January 2019. Children, as well as adults, would absolutely love it. They have a range of activities going on during the holiday period that include spectacular shows ranging from Stand-Up Comedy to Teletubbies Christmas show. Along with a number of rides including the Ice Mountain, a Santa Land dedicated to Christmas, the famous Bavarian Village with live music and a lot of beer on offer for you to enjoy with your friends and lastly the Christmas markets for some souvenir shopping.
2) Meet Santa
Meeting Santa is always the best experience that kids look forward to over the Christmas
period, but it needs to be kept in mind that tickets for such meet and greet sell out really fast. This time around if you are around Leicester Square then you must have noticed that the Christmas festival has already begun
including Santa’s Grotto. Father Christmas will have many audience style sessions with the kids where he would tell a Christmas fairy tale, and then the kids would be given a small gift. This place is a must visit before Christmas Eve to give your kids a good feel of the festival period and some learning at the same time as well.
3) Ice Skating
Wintertime is incomplete without having the joy of getting those skates on and going ice skating. Be it being an expert or a novice holding the rails, the experience is a must-have. Thankfully, like every year, this year around too Londoners are spoilt for choices, and it depends on the setting you want to enjoy. If you feel like having an unusual experience, then you can go to the rooftop of John Lewis or go to conventional ice rinks in front of the Natural History Museum or the Somerset House. If you aren’t a skater, then you can just sit by have an afternoon tea with your family while enjoying people rolling over on the rink.
Like every year, London always has a unique vibe when it comes to the holiday season and this year is no different. There are a host of other things you can plan with your family depending on your mood but what’s important is that you keep in mind that going out is a must. Trust us, you would make memories that would last a lifetime.
Happy Holidays!!!
