Renfrew Town Hall

Renfrew Town Hall

The newly refurbished Renfrew Town Hall was well worth a visit on Doors Open Day, money very well spent on this landmark building. The photos show the Main Hall and the Lesser Hall and the building is available for hire for weddings and other events. The modernised Renfrew Museum is also housed in this building and some of the displays change regularly.

St James’s Primary Parent Council are holding a race night on Friday 4th October 2013.

This is to raise funds for the school, we contribute towards buses for school trips which last year cost £600 for the entire school to go on their annual trip…that was for buses alone! We need to top up out funds for this years events & buses etc. All money raised is for the benefit of the children that attend St James’s Primary school.

It’s being held in Caledonia Bowling Club, Greenock Road, Paisley. From 7pm with the first race at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £5 and that includes a pie.

Whether we’re young or old, in work or not, and whatever state our finances are in we all need to make sure we know how to make it go as far as possible.

“This will be the third Renfrewshire Money Week and it’s proved really popular in the past but this year in particular more people are facing financial difficulties.

“There are events for everyone providing a huge range of information and some great resources to help people. We’re even taking support out directly to communities with the Renfrewshire Money Bus.”

A range of organisations are taking part in Renfrewshire Money Week including Advice Works, Education Scotland, Energy Saving Scotland advice centre, Job Centre Plus, the Money Advice Service, Reid Kerr College, Renfrewshire Council, Renfrewshire Citizens Advice Bureau, Renfrewshire Community Health Partnership and Renfrewshire Wide Credit Union.
