After the International break Saints get down to business and welcome Dunfermline on their first visit to our new ground. With a handful of ex-saints in the ranks it will not be a new experience for some of their squad.

Saints have McGregor, Mooy & Murray still missing whilst Dunfermline have Dowie, Hardie, Cardle & Barrowman absent. Saints will hope to have better luck this time after the 0-0 draw the sides had in the first game of the season.

A midweek ‘closed doors’ against Motherwell gave some of the fringe players a chance to stake a claim and Shuggie Murray managed 60 minutes on his road back to full fitness. Plenty of tickets still available at the ticket office right up until kick off so give the Xmas shopping a miss and come down and roar on the team to hopefully another 3 points. Read more

Saints welcome Hibernian to St Mirren Park this week after a terrific result against Rangers last week, and what a great feeling to score a last minute goal for a change. Saints have no new injury worries apart from long term absentees McGregor, Mooy & Murray and Hibs team sheet is fresh as well. This promises to be a cracker and hopefully goals will be plentiful.

Saints will need to keep an eye on Garry O’Connor who has been banging in the goals since his return to the SPL but I’m sure Danny and the boys know what is needed. With one eye on Tuesday’s cup game against Ayr, competition for a 1st team place will be high. Still tickets available for both games and with it being a month since our last home fixture I urge everyone to get down there and shout the boys on, hopefully to two wins.

St Mirren welcome Motherwell and Michael Higdon to St Mirren Park this week. Big Higgy still goaless for the season and hopefully this continues for this game.

Saints had a blow to deal with this week with last seasons player of the year Darren McGregor out for most of the season with ligament trouble, we wish Dazza a speedy recovery.

Marc McAusland expected to take McGregor”s place in the line up this week and with Nigel Hasselbaink suspended for 2 games it will be a different attacking partnership for Danny this week. Aaron Moy,David Barron & Hugh Murray all expected to be absent this week as well which will mean that Saints will have a lot of youth players on the bench. Read more
