May 5, 2025Tonight, The Bungalow plays host for my Birthday Celebrations. The guest will be entertained by John Griffin of The Bobby Deans Big Band, Proposal and Smokin at Tiffany’s. So, nothing public on but there are loads of live stuff elsewhere if you are out and about.
The very popular Beagles return tomorrow afternoon for another live show featuring all the best of The Eagles and The Beatles. Their last gig was packed out so get in early. It is a free gig and doors open at 1pm.
Beyond Madness are back at The Bungalow for another set of great music that captures, captivates and tells fantastic stories through music that Madness is famous for. Beyond Madness brings the full Madness experience to you. This is not only a tribute to the great band itself but also a celebration of Two Tone and Ska, which include such inspirational bands as The Specials, Bad Manners and The Beat to name a few. This is a night that will make you smile and stomp your feet to the rock steady beat.
But Hey You, don’t take my word for it, come pop in and take in the atmosphere that this band can generate. Get ready for a night of 2 Tone brilliance. You can get tickets on the door from 7pm.
On Sunday The Bungalow have a bank holiday special afternoon session with the brilliant Smokin’ at Tiffany’s. The band had a much talked about gig at The Paisley Food and Drink Festival and this is a great chance to catch them. This is a free entry gig and doors are at 1pm.
Tuesday is the weekly Open Stage and Jam Session, and it all starts at 7pm.
The Bungalow Introducing Night this week has three of the freshest most exciting performers around and they are We’re Not Scared of Robots, Anti Social Media, and Gas Buggy. You can get tickets on the door £3/£5 +18
The Keg have Zocolla in tonight at 9pm and tomorrow night at the same time it is Bad Boy Boogie. The Keg Sessions start at 9pm on Thursday for more original acts and bands.

The Swan have Graeme Kerr in The Garden Stage from 5pm tonight and later playing on the indoor stage it is Ian Strachan from 8pm. Tomorrow there will be live action from 4pm in the shape of Midnight Moses. The Players will be on stage from 3pm on Sunday followed by The Sunday Soul Club with John and Maria on the decks. Crawford Carlyle will be playing on Monday from 4pm, Lee James starts his comedy and song stage show on Tuesday at 3pm, David McKellar kicks off at 4pm on Wednesday and Cammy Miller will be rocking it out at 4.30pm on Thursday.
The Cave has their Big Fat Quiz on tonight from 8pm. Tomorrow’s ‘Doubler’ is TBC at 5pm followed by The Burnt Out Blues Band at 8pm. The Cave’s busy weekend finishes with live action from Giveaway at 6pm on Sunday.
Monkey Business are playing at Kennedys on Sunday from 3pm and over at The Inn on the Corner from 4.30pm there will be more rock, blues and boogie live from Jenni and the Blockheads.
The Open Mic/Stage sessions next week are: The Abbey at 9pm on Monday, Ugly Duck Monday at 7pm, The Gantry at 9pm on Tuesday, The Bungalow on Tuesday 7pm, The Keg on Wednesday at 8.30pm and The Cave from 7pm on Thursday. The Inn on the Corner has an Open Mic on the last Tuesday of the month.
