Tonight Vintage Vinyl will be playing at The Cave from 8pm then tomorrow’s double bill starts with The Lynsey Dolan Band at 6pm followed by The Black Triangles at 9pm. Jen Sloan of The Cave said “One a little more sensible than the other, I’ll let you decide” Jim Keilt is back with his monthly Blues Jam Night on Sunday and it starts at 6pm.
The Keg welcomes back Warren Capaldi tonight, he will be playing from 9pm and tomorrow night at the same timeThe Hype are hitting the stage for some more banging rock. Mya Brown who won Best Young Artist at the recent Paisley Music Awards will be performing at Tannahill’s tomorrow night. Pop in for an up close and personal wee gig with her from 8pm. Wreckless are at Kennedy’s on Sunday from 3pm.
The Bungalow have two sold out shows this weekend so what’s the point telling you about them? Well, if I describe what you are missing you might get in earlier for tickets the next time. So tonight it is Definitely Oasis who are regarded by many Oasis fans and promoters alike as the best Oasis tribute band there is. The band regularly sell out top class venues across the UK and were recently the first ever tribute band to sell out Glasgow’s iconic Garage and Barrowlands Venues in the same year. The band triumphantly return fpr tonight ‘s sold out headline show and with over 2 hours of non stop monster Oasis hits it’s going to be another brilliant night from one of the busiest tribute bands around.
The Anchormen Jazz Orchestra are travelling all the way from Leeds to play their sold out show. The band are amazing and have pure powerhouse type of show. They have put in a lot of extra practice to include a few surprises in their set for the Paisley crowd. The Anchormen Jazz Orchestra’s line up includes 13 horns, 4 in the rhythm section and 2 fabulous vocalists, Alan Cross and Emma Kurij. From Frank Sinatra to Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin to Amy Winehouse, Average White Band to Bobby Darin, and many more legendary artists, the audience is in for night of wonderful entertainment,
Tomorrow afternoon is a Youth Afternoon starring some local and not so local young artists. It is free entry and starts at 2pm. Pop in and support the music of tomorrow and catch them before they are famous.
Sundays Open Stage continues at 2pm. The Open Stage events attracts a wide variety of styles and ages. A young performer travelled all the way from Dundee last week to play. He played a great set and was a winner with the audience. Before he left he put his name in again for another session coming up.
Following on from her recent succesful Mic and Mend Night Freya McEwan a young music student and worker at The Bungalow has put together an event called A Paint and a Pint Open Mic. Feya explains ”Come to The Bungalow on Monday 28th Feb and draw a picture on some recycled paper while you listen to some locals sing songs- or maybe even sing one yourself. We are encouraging creativity and eco-consciousness for all” Starts at 7pm.
Thursday Introducing Night next week has a 3 band line up and they are: Scarlett Rose, Matthew Gibb and The Rooks. Doors 7pm and tickets are £5/3 on Eventbrire or on the door on the night.
The Old Swan have Mojo Filter playing from 4pm tomorrow then on Monday Cammy Miller is on at 5pm. Lee James will be performing his Swing Show on Tuesday from 3pm and on Thursday at the same time he will be ‘Singing Through The Decades’.
