Psychobilly rock band King Kurt are playing at The Bungalow tonight. The band formed in 1981 and split up in 1988. They get together every so often for a tour and this is their latest. The current line up is Smeg (vox), Jim Piper/Paul “Thwack” (guitar), Bert (bass), John (sax) Eli (guitar), Gaff (drums), Mr Burton (drums) sometimes. The support is a cracker and they are The Three n Eights and Best Bad Influence. Doors are at 7pm and tickets are on the door.

Cosmopolitan Big Band are back for another Saturday afternoon of great music. Cosmopolitan is a full 20 piece big band comprising of outstanding male and female vocalists backed by a 14 piece horn section and 4 piece rhythm section. ​Cosmo have developed a diverse repertoire of tunes spanning many decades of popular music ranging from Swing Classics (Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman) and Rat Pack Favourites (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin), to Classic Soul (Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder), and Modern Pop (Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift) allowing us to cater to any event and satisfy the tastes of even the widest audience demographic. ​ Starts at 2pm and it’s free entry.

The Weekly Open Stage and House Band with ‘Paisley Musicians Collective’ hosts Johnny Barr and Erin Hephzibah are back on Sunday at 3pm. All ages welcome to perform – if you’d like to perform, drop them a Facebook Message.

On Thursday it is musician Erin Hephzibah’s Birthday Bash and all are welcome. She is raising funds for local music charity Loud n Proud to help them refurbish their studio which was set on fire. So she wants all musicians out there, actors performing monologues, poets doing what they do and dance people dancing. It will be a great big celebration of all the talented people in her life and it is for a good cause. Doors at 7pm on Thursday.

Rocknrollas have announced that every Friday night from the 10th of December will be Indie Night. More soon. The  Cave have another bumper weekend this week starting with Mojo Filter tonight at 9pm.  Tomorrow they have Blues Mama at 6pm followed by Screamshot at 9pm. On Sunday Grant Cherry is hosting the ‘After Show Party’ at 9pm.

The Old Swan has started the Christmas Season of with a busy programme starting with David McKendrick at 8pm tonight, Wreckless at 4pm tomorrow followed by Emma Nailen and Esquire at 8pm, Lee James is performing at the pensioners party at 1pm on Monday then on Tuesday he is doing his Rat Pack Show at 3pm and he finishes off on Thursday with his Through the Decades set at 3pm. Maria McAveety is playing on Wednesday at 5pm.

At The Keg tonight is Old Bohemia at 9pm tomorrow at 9pm it is Fat Lip. Tom and Gerry are at Harvies tomorrow night at 9pm. Kennedys continue their Sunday Sessions with Overdrive at 3pm.

Open Mic Nights this week are Dunky Hunter at The Abbey on Monday from 8.30pm; Stevie D 9pm on Tuesday at Gantry. Wednesday is The Keg’s Open Mic with Johnny Barr and starts at 8.30pm. On Sunday Andy Lindsay hosts open mic at The Columba Club on Clyde Street, Renfrew from 3pm to 7pm.
