On October 24th, 2021 the family and friends of Scott Cowan will meet for the first time since his tragic death in November 2020 at just 25 years old.

This day will see a memorial football tournament held in Scott’s honor with people from all areas of his life coming together to remember him while kicking a ball about and having a laugh both on and off the park.
The tournament will also be held to raise funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) who work to help prevent young sudden cardiac deaths as it was ultimately a undetected heart condition that lead to Scott being taken away from his many loved ones far too early.
Scott’s close friends have organised the event at Mossedge Village in Linwood to assist his family’s fundraising efforts that have already seen them raise thousands of pounds.
The overall aim is to raise enough money to arrange four cardiac screenings in Scotland that will see young people checked for the type of conditions that cut Scott’s life short.
Losing Scott was devastating for his friends and family and they now want to try and help prevent other young people from losing their lives too soon as well as sparing those closest to them from the pain that comes with losing a loved one.
The tournament will run from 11 am to 2 pm which will then be followed by a trophy presentation and a raffle with a number of prizes up for grabs.
The event will be free to attend and Scott’s friends hope as many people as possible are able to come along and support those taking part as well as the greater cause of raising money for CRY.
