HUNDREDS of shop managers and staff swapped their tills for trophies at this year’s intu Braehead Retailer Awards.

Held at the Hilton Glasgow, the glitzy event was hosted by Britain’s Got Talent star, Edward Reid and a surprise guest was Scotland’s top drag artist, Reba Martell, who entertained the guests at the post awards celebrations.

Most of the awards were won by coming out top of a poll after the public voted for their favourite stores and leisure attractions at intu Braehead.

Marketing manager for intu Braehead, David Lyon said: “We had more than 4000 votes from our customers who took the time to support to their favourite shops and leisure attractions.

“Our retail awards are a great way to recognise and celebrate the fantastic stores, restaurants and leisure attractions we have at intu Braehead.”

The World Class Customer Service Award went to Kiddie Boutique by Claire; Entertainment Venue of the Year, ODEON Cinema; Menswear Store of the Year, Next; Ladieswear Store of the Year, River Island; Footwear and accessories retailer of the year, JD Sports and the Jewellery Store of the Year was won by Beaverbrooks.

The Food and Drink Retailer of the Year is Nandos; Health and Beauty Store of the Year, Boots; Kids Retailer of the Year, Disney Store; Retailer of the year, Primark; Specialist retailer of the year, Apple and the Manager of the Year Award went to Ben Doyle, from Yo! Sushi.
