From the gritter drivers keeping our roads clear to the Care at Home staff who deliver meals and provide assistance to vulnerable members of the community, these devoted workers keep Renfrewshire moving during the festivities.

Councillor Nicolson said: “We are lucky to have a fantastic workforce who provide Renfrewshire with a high-quality service throughout the year, but through the festive period special thanks must go to our frontline workers.

“They ensure that those who need support and assistance are cared for, while our roads crews, bin collection staff and homeless services unit are just some of the teams who continue to provide a service throughout the Christmas period.

“For many people, they are a lifeline and I want to thank them for their dedication and hard work in providing these services for the people of Renfrewshire.”

While most council offices will be closed over the festive period, all essential services will continue to operate.

A handy guide on how to access services during the closure period has been created and can be found on the council website or in your local library, leisure centre or Renfrewshire House.
