Chief Executive of St. Vincent’s Hospice, Kate Lennon, said: “Light up a Life is one of the most well loved and meaningful events of the Hospice calendar.  It is a chance for all of us to remember a loved one at a time of the year where traditions are important and emotions are heightened.

“This is also an opportunity to do something truly special by sponsoring a light in memory of a loved one or a special occasion, and making a meaningful difference to those who need it most.

“Over the last year, you have supported us to deliver over 1,400 bereavement support sessions to individuals, families, young people and children all of whom lost someone special in their life.

“The funding to do this comes directly from people just like all of you, our supporters in the community. Every penny raised from Light Up a Life goes directly towards providing the care and support needed by so many people at this time of year. As we come towards the end of our 30th Anniversary year, we hope that you will wrap up warm and come and join us for carols, readings, mince pies and hot drinks as we light up a life, this Christmas.”
