Paisley Pirates have added to their ever growing portfolio of sponsors, with the news that Custom Sport Stitch, a local company based in East Kilbride, has joined forces with one of Scotland’s premier amateur ice hockey clubs.

Lesley Balmer, owner of the company, commented, “I’m delighted to be coming on board with the Pirates. Jackie (Turley) first got in touch with me last year and I did some embroidery on the jerseys for the club. She spoke to me again during the close season and as I always like to give back a little to customers it seemed a natural progression for my company to become directly involved with the Pirates through this sponsorship deal.”

“I’ve been an ice hockey fan since the days of the Ayr Eagles and I’ve done a bit of work for various clubs up and down the country. We specialize in customizing/embroidering any kind of top(s) from one offs to team uniforms, and we do get orders from ice hockey clubs for items like name bars which we are able to turn round very quickly. I’m hoping to get along and see the Pirates in action as often as possible this year, and I’m looking forward to it immensely.”

Jackie Turley, Head of Off-Ice Operations for the club, said, “We’re delighted to welcome Lesley and Custom Sports Stitch into the Pirates’ family and we’re sure we’ll have a long and happy relationship together. As she says, we first went to her last year for some embroidery work and the results were absolutely first class. It was a no-brainer to go back to her this year as the type of service she offers is unique, professional and very speedy. Her company logo will be displayed on the team’s short covers and Lesley will be only too happy to discuss your individual needs with her. You can reach her at customsportstitch.com.”
