TWO new fashion chains open their first stores in the west of Scotland, at intu Braehead, today. (Friday, November 17)

Both the Simply Be and Jacamo brands have created 20 jobs in their joint stores, based in a retail unit in the upper mall, across from Marks and Spencer.

The Simply Be store caters for women’s fashions in sizes 12 to 32 and Jacamo is popular with men, as they stock the latest ranges of loafers and clothing from small size to 5XL.

Regional centre director, with responsibility for intu Braehead, Peter Beagley said:
“This is yet another great addition to our already wide variety of fashion stores at intu Braehead and I’ve no doubt both these brands will be very popular with shoppers.

“It’s also good that we are creating new jobs at intu Braehead.
“And we’re not yet finished with new stores opening before Christmas, as we have the MAC Cosmetics store also opening in the lower mall at the end of this month.

“We aim to provide as much choice as possible for our shoppers and with the opening of these new stores, we’re certainly doing that.”
