SHOPPERS can expect to see children out guising in the middle of a giant shopping centre, this weekend.

The kids in fancy dress have been invited to go trick or treating at stores and leisure attractions at the intu Braehead mall and Soar and in return they’ll be given a sweet treat.

The free event is taking place on Saturday and Sunday, October 28 and 29, between noon and 4pm and children are being encouraged to come along in their Halloween costumes.

All they have to do is collect a special pumpkin basket from the kids’ club area, in the upper mall and visit the stores with a special Halloween character in the window.

The stores and leisure attractions taking part are Climbzone, Laserstation, Pizza Express, Cocoabean Company, Kiddie Boutique by Claire, A1 Toys and Primark.

Marketing manager at intu Braehead, Christine Macdonald said: “We’re expecting lots of youngsters to come along in fancy dress and it should be great fun for everyone.

“It’s a lot warmer and more comfortable in the shopping centre than going out guising at night in the cold and wet weather.”
