They turned out in force to take advantage of discounts of up to 50 per cent at intu Braehead’s Student Night.
As well as big discounts in shops, restaurant and leisure attractions, the free event also included entertainment from buskers, free pizza, smoothies and ice cream.

There was also the chance to win burgers for a year, a room full of furniture from IKEA, worth £600 and a £30 voucher for the Tony Macaroni Italian restaurant.

A room full of IKEA furniture was up for grabs in a prize draw and this trio of students tried it out for size. From left is Eleanor Kelly, from Glasgow Caledonian University; Gwyn Kelly, from West of Scotland College and Karen Kelly, from University of the West of Scotland

Marketing manager for intu Braehead, Christine Macdonald said: “There was a great atmosphere in the mall and over in Soar at intu Braehead where lots of students ended up after visiting the stores that were offering some great discounts.
“Everyone enjoyed themselves and you could see that lots of groups of friends from school, university or college got together to come along to our Student Night to bag a bargain and enjoy themselves.”
