On Sunday 24th April, Paisley.org.uk’s own Danielle Caira steps up to the challenge of the 26 miles of this years’ Kiltwalk, starting at Hampden Park, Glasgow and ending on the banks of Loch Lomond at Balloch.

Danielle was inspired by circumstances close to home when her own daughter was in Yorkhill Hospital (now called Royal Hospital for Sick Children) at an early age and she saw the plight of some of the young kids in the wards which tugged her heartstrings. She also saw the professionalism, warmth and compassion that the staff showed to every young person in the wards.

Every year the supporters of the Kiltwalk unite and pay tribute to the amazing, brave children who have touched their lives and the people who are caring for them and their families. Unfortunately some of these children do not return home as healthy. The proceeds of the Kiltwalk go to help the likes of CHAS, A&M Scotland, Calum’s Cabin and many more. This is the first year that every penny raised goes directly to the charities mentioned on kiltwalk.co.uk

You can help these charities by sponsoring Danielle. You can contribute by clicking this link to the Virgin Money Giving Page. Please give generously and remember, it’s not for the person walking, it’s for Scotland’s Kids.
