Further Information:  The Camcorder Club is a well attended and regular creative experience enabling pensioners to learn digital technology and filmmaking.  Over a period of 7 years we have established a ‘people’s archive’ of locally produced films which we use for crowd-sourced filmmaking projects such as ‘On the Move,’ a film about 80 years of transport and ‘Memories of the Renfrew Ferry,’ which was a sentimental look at this local institution.  These films focus on local heritage as seen and recorded by the community.  They have proved very popular and these high quality co-produced films have been shown at events in Paisley Museum, Renfrew Town Hall and Paisley Art Centre.  Several of the filmmakers have also improved their skills to the extent that they have gone on to film local events themselves and make a valuable contribution to local culture.
