LOUISE Harttrup admits she’s watched the Home Alone movie dozens of times.

But she was still excited about seeing it again after winning a competition to attend a special screening of one of the most popular Christmas movies ever, at the Odeon, in Soar at intu Braehead.

Louise, 31, and three friends, James Love, 26; Lesley Young, 45 and 15-year-old Jodi Young, all from Paisley watched the adventures of Kevin McCallister, played by actor, Macaulay Culkin, as he fends off two would-be burglars when he is accidentally left behind at home when his family head to Paris for a Christmas holiday.

The competition launched on Facebook was organised by Soar and attracted hundreds of entrants hoping to win one of the 40 family tickets for four people up for grabs. And as well as seeing the movie, bosses at The Odeon gave everyone a free box of popcorn.

Louise said: “I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve seen Home Alone, but it must be dozens and dozens.

“It’s my all-time favourite film and it’s a classic Christmas movie. It’s great for all the family.”

Christine Macdonald, marketing manager for intu Braehead said: “Everybody loves the Home Alone movie, especially at this time of year.
“So we thought we’d give people an early Christmas present by running the contest to win the chance to attend the special screening at the Odeon.”
