Glasgow Rock Choir got the festive season off to a rocking start at Soar, Intu Braehead, raising£512 for local mental health services at RAMH.
The singers performed over a 5 hour period for customers at Soar while RAMH volunteers collected and included crowd pleasers such as “Don’t Stop Me Now”, “Higher Love” and the festive “Merry Christmas Everyone”.
Lyn Mackay, a singer with Glasgow Rock Choir said “we were delighted to support RAMH and the crucial services they provide for people across the west of Scotland. The choir enjoyed the response of the shoppers and performing at the stage with the beautiful Christmas tree was a real thrill”.
RAMH’s Karen Milne said “we’re delighted with the funds raised and our thanks go to the singers who gave up their Saturday to support RAMH. Every penny raised enhances the mental health services we can provide.”
RAMH helps 5,000 people across Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire with all mental health diagnosis from depression to bipolar disorder. Rock Choir is the UK’s original amateur contemporary choir.
