BOSSES at Hillington Park business estate are not only sponsoring the popular Paisley 10k Race and Fun Run – they’re taking part themselves.

Commercial director at Scotland’s largest business park, Jamie Cumming and colleagues, marketing manager Louise O’Connell; facilities manager, Claire McCluskey and groundsman, Ian Kerr will be pounding the street of Paisley along with thousands of other runners on Sunday, August 30.

It’s the fifth year in a row Hillington Park has sponsored the event, which sees those taking part raising tens of thousands of pounds for various charities and good causes. This year the Paisley 10k official charity partner is Macmillan Cancer Support.

Jamie Cumming said: “Not only are we putting our money where our mouth is by sponsoring the event, but we’re putting our feet there too!

“We’ve been training hard for the race and also encouraging people from all the businesses operating at Hillington Park to take part in the Paisley 10k and Fun Run.

“We see ourselves as very much part of the Renfrewshire community and since the Paisley 10k is a fantastic community event we decided to be sponsors again.

“It’s a great incentive to get fit, have some fun with friends and family and also raise lots of money for charity.”

Joyce McKellar, chief executive of Renfrewshire Leisure who are one of the Paisley 10k race organisers said: “We really appreciate the support we get from Hillington Park and they’re really going the extra mile this year by several of their staff taking part in the race.

“There’s still time for people to sign up and take part in the Paisley 10k or the Fun Run.

“You can take part just for the fun of it or raise money for your favourite charity or worthy cause.”
