A special anniversary dinner and quiz for local mental health charity RAMH has raised £10,500.

The recent event, celebrating 25 years of services, had teams from across Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire competing to be quiz champions. Linstone Housing Association, based in Linwood, came out on top.

The quiz had 8 rounds including Scotland, Food and Drink, TV and Film, and Sport, and was hosted by BBC Bargain Hunt and Antiques Road Trip auctioneer Natasha Raskin.

Guest round hosts included George Adam MSP, Professor Paul Martin and Renfrewshire Provost Anne Hall. Among other brainteasers, guests had to identify iconic album covers, song introductions, a mystery spice and a malt whisky.

The dinner was sponsored by UWS, and the prosecco reception was provided by Pro-Life Fitness Centre.

University of the West of Scotland Depute Principal, Professor Paul Martin said: “The University has a long-standing relationship with RAMH and is proud to support them in their 25th anniversary year. Their work in providing advice and education to promote understanding across a range of mental health topics is exemplary; their services make a huge impression on the lives of individuals and their families.  We look forward to ourcontinued collaboration to benefit our local communities.”
