Renfrewshire’s Provost Anne Hall has launched a charity raffle ahead of her much anticipated Masquerade Charity Ball in September.

With a top prize of £1,000 and tickets costing £1, the raffle will help to raise vital funds for the Provost’s chosen charities.

A £500 art voucher and a Lenovo laptop are the second and third prize on offer.

Raffle tickets will be available at all charity events hosted by Renfrewshire Carers’ Centre, RAMH (Recovery Across Mental Health) and the two hospices – Accord and St Vincent’s.

Provost Hall said: “A raffle is a great way for people to donate a small amount of money that makes a big difference to the community. My chosen charities support and help local people at a time they really need it.

“There are fantastic prizes to win – from £1,000 cash, to £500 towards local art or a brand new laptop. I would encourage everyone who can to donate £1 – it all adds up.”

Prizes in the raffle were donated by Accord Hospice and Pacific Buildings Ltd.

The raffle winners will be announced on Friday 4 September, a week before the Masquerade Charity Ball takes place.

The Masquerade Charity Ball, which will be held in the Normandy Hotel, Renfrew, is promised to be an evening of great entertainment, live music and the popular live and silent auctions, presided over by professional auctioneers.

Tickets to the ball cost £60 per person and can be purchased by calling the Provost’s office on 0141 618 7102. Pre-dinner drinks, a three course dinner and a bottle of wine per couple are included.

Money raised at the event and raffle will be shared equally among the four charities.
