Paisley & District Celebrate Scouting

Youth members, volunteers, family members and civic leaders came together to celebrate Scouting at the Paisley Abbey today.

The annual District Scout Service was attending by members from across Neilston, Barrhead and Paisley.

During the Service, District Commissioner, Rob Murray said: “I want to start by thanking Rev Alan Birss and Father John for leading the District in Celebrating all that’s great about Scouting.

“Scouting is a big part of our communities across Paisley, Neilston and Barrhead. I am pleased that Depute Provost Cllr John Caldwell and local MSP Annabel Goldie joined us for the event.

“Scouting provides fun, friendship and adventure to girls and boys across Paisley, Neilston and Barrhead. Young people are joining on mass as they are seeking something different and something challenging.

“Scouting wouldn’t be possible without our wonderful volunteers and I thank them for providing adventurous activities week in week out.”

Scouting is open to all Girls and Boys aged 6-25years. We have groups in all parts of Paisley, Barrhead and Neilston. To join the movement please email or call 07703732233.
