Renfrewshire Foodbank – feeding local people in crisis.
As Scotland’s third largest food bank, we are committed to providing emergency food relief to families and individuals in Renfrewshire, who are experiencing financial hardship. In 2014 Renfrewshire Foodbank fed over 1000 hungry children, thanks to the generosity of the local community and the energy and commitment of our volunteers.
The charity’s Trustees are now seeking to recruit a Project Manager to lead and to further develop all aspects of the food bank’s work. This is an outstanding opportunity to make a direct contribution to the fight against hunger in Renfrewshire.

As Project Manager you will oversee all of the food bank’s day to day operations and ensure that the agreed operating model is followed. This will include ensuring sufficient food and other resources are in place to support current and future need; recruitment, training and management of volunteers; regular communication with a variety of stakeholder groups; promotion of the food bank’s work to the media and online/through social media; fundraising and administration.

To succeed in this pivotal role, you will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills, firstclass planning and organisational skills and the ability to deliver tangible results. A good knowledge of the benefits system and support agencies is vital.

Renfrewshire Food Bank is run in partnership with local churches and the Project Manager should agree and support the Christian values of the organisation.
