It wasn’t just the mums who had a fabulous Mother’s Day at intu Braehead yesterday – their daughters had a great time as well.

The shopping mall held their Ladies VIP Day Out and more than 100 women came along to enjoy a host of activities.

There was a glass of fizz, cocktail or mocktail for everyone on arrival and the highlight of the day was a fashion workshop with TV celebrity stylist, Mark Heyes.
There were also goody bags for everyone, free back and shoulder massages, food sampling and a chocolate fountain, along with one-to-one consultations from beauty experts advising on skin care and make-up.

The event also raised hundreds of pounds for the Breast Cancer Care Scotland charity, which had representatives on hand to give out advice.
Proceeds from the event were being donated to the charity and a bucket collection was organised by intu Braehead.

Marketing manager for intu Braehead, Lydia Brown said: “Everyone enjoyed getting together for some ‘girl time’ at our Ladies VIP Day Out.
“The event was so popular that people were asking if we’d do it again next year.”

Nicolas White, Head of Breast Cancer Care Scotland said: “We are so grateful to intu Braehead for putting on this wonderful event to raise vital funds for Breast Cancer Care Scotland.
“Every year around 4,500 people in Scotland will be given the shocking news that they have breast cancer. Breast Cancer Care Scotland’s specialist nurses, local services and emotional support network means that there’s always someone to turn to for information and support.”
