Coming to Paisley Arts Centre on 12 February, The Pine Tree, Poggle and Me is a funny, delightful and brand new theatre piece for young children set in the depths of a beautiful forest.

The co-production, between macrobert arts centre in Stirling and Glasgow’s renowned Barrowland Ballet, takes children on a visual and musical journey of discovery and is sponsored by the Forestry Commission Scotland.

The Pine, Tree, Poggle and Me is the story of Vince. He wants to explore the forest, but is too scared to go on his own until he meets Poggle, a friendly creature who takes him on an adventure into the woods to discover the magical, musical tree. With live music, clapping rhythms and bubble popping throughout, children aged 1 – 4 will enjoy a sense of discovery and accomplishment during the show as they explore and play throughout.

Natasha Gilmore, Artistic Director and choreographer of The Pine Tree Poggle and Me revealed that she didn’t have to look far to find inspiration for the show.

“The Pine Tree, Poggle and Me was inspired by my own young children as I watched the way they explored and played in the world around them. The joy of discovery and the accomplishment when new skills are found and obstacles overcome and the wonderment children find in the simplest of things, like mud and creepy crawlies.”

Paisley Arts Centre will host two performances of The Pine Tree, Poggle and Me on 12 February at 11am & 1.30pm. Tickets cost £3 + booking fee* and can be booked on 0300 300 1210 or online at www.renfrewshire.gov.uk/onlinebooking
