Renfrewshire Environmental And Restoration Group will be working to tidy up Durrockstock Park, which is a Local Nature Reserve, this will involve litter Picking, Clearing Paths etc. Durrockstock Park is in need of some more major repair works and while talks are ongoing with Renfrewshire Council – Who are supporting us fully- we want to do what we can to make the Local Nature Reserve a better place.

Renfrewshire Environmental And Restoration Group have been working in Renfrewshire for Four Years now and carry out varies activities and tasks across the area. Most recently has seen them work with 32 Primary Six Pupils doing Environmental Education and Conservation to achieve the John Muir Award. The Group have been working behind the scenes for a long time, doing work in Local Areas without being noticed though as the organisation has grown so has our publicity.

Jordan, who is co-ordinating the project, wants to see as many people as possible come along to help on the day.

“Everybody can get involved in their local outdoor spaces. They are a shared resource and a shared responsibility. From the smallest individual action to a national campaign, every contribution helps! I urge people to come along and try it out – We can all do our bit to make Renfrewshire a Cleaner, Greener and Safer Place.”

If you are keen to learn new skills, improve your local environment and have fun at the same time. If you would like to come along please tell us on Facebook or email us at enquiries@rerg.co.uk
