18-25 year olds up for the CHALLENGE!

Renfrewshire’s school leavers, graduates and 18-25 year olds are invited to make a positive difference in the lives of others in third world commonwealth countries whilst adding travel, business fun and employability to their CV’s!

Ghana, Zambia and Uganda are three target destinations for successful applicants to Challenges Worldwide, a Scottish Charity who are launching a bid to fill 50 volunteer places on their ICS Entrepreneur programme in Spring 2015.

Neil Flemming, a local from Paisley who works for Challenges Worldwide has just returned from Uganda where he saw first hand the great work the volunteer programme delivers.

“It’s great to see Scottish young people who have never been to Africa, working alongside a new business and sharing their knowledge with a young entrepreneur form a different continent!” The ICS Entrepreneur programme is fully funded by the government’s Department for International Development and it exists to partner UK volunteers with new business start ups or Small-Medium Sized businesses for a 12 week period.

“The volunteers just apply online to be considered. We have 50 places, but the most amazing thing is that our volunteers return with fantastic stories, life experience and a wider view of the world.”
