Double Bill of Hip Hop Theatre at Paisley Arts Centre.

An exciting performance of hip hop theatre will take place at Paisley Arts Centre next month. Status Anxiety & Thinking in the First Person is a double bill of high octane dance that questions our use of social media on our ability to communicate.

Status Anxiety & Thinking in the First Person will be performed on Wednesday 1 October at 7.30pm. The performance will include a short piece by local dance group, Right 2 Dance, and will conclude with a post show discussion on the performance and the benefits of dance on our well-being.

Paisley Arts Centre in New Street

Status Anxiety, the first piece in the show, looks at whether having the ability to connect with everyone helped us forget how to truly connect with anyone. A physical, entertaining and witty piece of dance theatre; Status Anxiety challenges the characters we become when hidden behind a computer screen.

Thinking in the First Person, the second part of the show, is a highly physical hip hop theatre piece, that incorporates elements of contemporary dance to create a uniquely powerful style of movement that has left audiences holding their breath.

Status Anxiety and Thinking in the First Person are part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts & Film Festival.
