Formed following a jam-session in Paisley, The Tannahill Weavers (or ‘Tannies’ as they are affectionately known) were named after the town’s historic weaving industry and local poet Robert Tannahill. The quartet has since gone on to become one of Scotland’s premier traditional bands.

Their diverse repertoire spans the centuries with fire-driven instrumentals and original ballads and lullabies – demonstrating the rich and varied musical heritage of the Celtic people. These four versatile musicians have received accolades from all over the world for their consistently exuberant performances that seemingly can’t get any better…yet continue to do just that.

Experience an unforgettable live performance at Paisley Arts Centre thanks to their unique combination of traditional melodies, powerful rhythmic accompaniment and rich vocals.

The Tannahill Weavers will play Paisley Arts Centre on Sunday 18 May, 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10 (£8 conc) and can be booked at the Paisley Arts Centre Box Office, by phone on 0300 300 1210 or online at www.renfrewshire.gov.uk/onlinebooking
