Roll Up Roll Up! It’s Renfrew Gala Day 2014

Come and join in the circus theme at this year’s Renfrew Gala Day which takes place on Sunday 1 June at Robertson Park.  With a mix of fairground rides, stalls, free family activities including inflatables, petting zoo, vintage fire engines and much much more, Gala Day promises to be a fun day out for all the family.

Look out for stilt walkers, clowns, jugglers and more taking part in the parade, which will leave Canal Street at 1pm arriving at Robertson Park to mark the opening of Gala Day.

In addition to the regular activities on offer, this year organisers at Renfrewshire Arts & Museums have arranged an ‘Its A Knockout’ contest where local community groups will compete against each other in various sports events. Check out ‘Gentleman George’s Circus Extravaganza’ which will be performing in the free family activity zone, and why not get a fun family snapshot of the day at the photographers studio where the whole family can dress up as circus performers!

In the lead up to Gala Day, the annual Bonnie Baby and Toddler competition will be taking place at the Cherrie Centre, on the 27 May, from 12pm (registration is at 11.30am). A free family ceilidh will take place on the 30th May,  at Renfrew Town Hall from 7pm, tickets available from ‘Our Place, Our Families’ on Paisley Road (max. 5 tickets per person).
