Provost urges community to have a ball

Renfrewshire’s Provost Anne Hall is calling on the big hearted people of Renfrewshire to be part of her Hollywood themed charity ball.

The black tie event will be held on Friday 13 June in the Normandy Hotel, Renfrew and promises to be an evening of great entertainment with compére Gina McKie, Radio DJ and a performance by the Pulse Show band.

The popular silent auction will also take place on the night, presided over by professional auctioneers.

Tickets cost £60 each and include a pre-dinner drinks reception, a three course dinner and a bottle of wine per couple.

The event will raise vital funds for charities Renfrewshire Carers’ Centre, RAMH (Recovery Across Mental Health) and two hospices – Accord and St Vincent’s – chosen by Provost Hall to feature in a special charity giving scheme during her term as Provost.

Money raised at the event will be shared equally among the four charities.

Provost Hall said, “I really believe that charity is at the heart of our community and that’s why I’m asking local people to be part of the charity ball.

“The event will be one to remember with a variety of entertainment and although the dress may be formal, the welcome will be warm.

“I’m really looking forward to holding a great night for charity. Tickets to the ball cost £60 each and all monies raised will be shared equally with my chosen charities.”

Tickets can be purchased by calling the Provost’s office on 0141 618 7102.
