Join the Tartan Walk Renfrewshire.

Renfrewshire’s residents have the chance to take in the picturesque sights of Lochwinnoch by joining the Tartan Walk!

Organised by Renfrewshire Council in partnership with Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park, the Tartan Walk takes place on Wednesday 26th of February at 11am and is suitable for all ages and levels of fitness.

The walk starts and finishes at the Castle Semple Visitor Centre and is approximately 2.5miles in length. While there are a few small inclines along the route, walkers are encouraged to walk at their own pace as community spirit is the order of the day.

Those taking part are required to embrace the tartan theme and immerse themselves in the occasion enjoying the chat and the singing along the way.

The Tartan Walk follows on from the success of December’s Tinsel Walk which attracted over 90 people. Similar numbers are expected in February as Renfrewshire Council’s Walking Network continues to flourish.

Senga McLeod, Renfrewshire’s Walking Development Officer, said: “This is a fun activity for both families and social groups to join in. They can get fitter while being thoroughly entertained at the same time.”

Regular walks take place across Renfrewshire every week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, alongside a monthly walk on a Sunday, with new walkers welcome to participate at any time.
