St Mirren in the Community News
St Mirren in the Community have launched a Walk Football class which will take place every Monday evening at the St Mirren Airdome.
Walk Football is, as the title suggests, football where you must walk. In fact if you run a free-kick will be awarded against your team!
While the Community team see this version of football as a good support mechanism for previous participants of the Football Fans in Training (FFIT) programme, it is also aimed at those who feel they can no longer run about for 90 minutes but still want to be involved and participating in the sport of football while also getting or keeping fit.
The Walk Football sessions will take place at the St Mirren Airdome every Monday between 5:00pm and 6:00pm and will cost you £2 to take part.
For more info or to register your interest please contact Brian Sproul by e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Schools will be stopping soon for the summer break and the St Mirren in the Community team are ready and waiting with the ever popular football camps to help you pass the long summer days!
The brand new St Mirren Dome will be the primary location for the camps with further camps being held at the St Mirren Youth Academy in Ralston and at the Lochbarr Sports Arena in Lochwinnoch.
The football camps will cover six weeks of the summer break. Full details can be found at http://www.saintmirren.net/pages/?p=24301
