Sponsor a light for someone special this Christmas and sponsor the care of future patients at St Vincent’s Hospice.

St Vincent’s Hospice invites you to dedicate a light on their Christmas tree to someone who you was or is a light in your life. You can celebrate or remember loved ones and special occasions by sponsoring a light. In doing so, you will help to provide future care for local patients and their families at the Hospice and in the community.

st-vincentsYou will help more patients like Eric who attends the Day Hospice. He said, “Without St Vincent’s, I wouldn’t get out. It gives me a goal and the care I have received there is unbelievable. When you sponsor a light, it’s not just a light on the tree that you are sponsoring but future patients too.”

Dedicating a light it helps families and friends to join together and celebrate the lives of loved ones and share hope that they are helping others in the future.

Julie Munro has supported the event for the last 4 years after her mother passed away in the Hospice in 2009. She said, “For me, the Hospice not only gave me support when my mum passed away, but it gave me the motivation to help
others who will access the Hospice in the future. By supporting Light Up a Life it means patients will continue to receive the support, dignity and high level of care that my mum and family received when we needed it most. The support to families during and after their loved one’s passing is tremendous.”

Anyone can sponsor a light on St Vincent’s tree, not just those who have experienced hospice care. The community event is one of St Vincent’s best-loved and most meaningful events that attracts hundreds of local people every year.

The lighting of the tree will take place on Sunday 25th of November at 5pm at St Vincent’s Hospice on Midton Road Howwood. Everyone will be warmly welcomed to the Hospice courtyard and join in carols and readings with mince pies and hot drinks. Parking will be available at St Anthony’s Primary School with a free shuttle service provided by Pride of the Clyde.
