Singing sensation Jade Richards may not have made it through to the live shows of the X Factor, but the 21-year-old is set to make a difference for one East Kilbride charity.

Fresh from singing in front of her mentor Kelly Rowland at the judge’s house, Jade will now bring her vocal talents to SAVIfest on Friday, October 21.

Please can you help our project and vote for us on the RBS Community page?  We will use the money to help organisations who are trying to do good in the town and we will do our very best to help them, but we need the right equipment and right now we have none.

Our project name is Paisley on The Web and it’s located in the Foxbar area on the map – we are now based in the High Street – if you’re looking for it that way however, here is a better way to go about things:

Create Paisley presents: Create Wars (Round 1) at the UWS Student Union on the 8th of October, Doors open at 7:00pm,

£1.00 Entry to the event

A TALENTED group who have real star quality lined up to collect awards at St Mirren Park … and there wasn’t a footballer in sight.

The occasion was the inaugural Renfrewshire Youth Voice (RYV) Positive About You awards and the main function suite at the Paisley stadium was packed to the rafters.

One by one, young achievers made their way up to the stage to collect gongs which were well deserved.

This was an awards show that proved once and for all that Renfrewshire definitely does have talent.

Renfrewshire’s countdown to Christmas will be kicked off in spectacular style this year with a festive fireworks extravaganza.

A full day of fabulous fun and top-notch entertainment will be held in Paisley town centre on Saturday 5 November topped off with a stunning fireworks display to mark the start of the festive season.

The event will see the usual Paisley Fireworks and Christmas Lights Switch-On events rolled into one bigger and better event.

Renfrewshire’s Provost Celia Lawson will be joined on the day by top performers as well as local talent to lead the celebrations.

Following on from last years great success, Celine Donohue and Friends will once again get your toes tapping and kilts flying with their fantastic family ceilidh, and afterwards you can remind yourself of the cheesiest decade of music ever with our 80s disco! This event will be staged in conjunction with RAMH who are celebrating 21 years of delivering mental health services in Renfrewshire.

An exhibition and public meeting are being held to showcase final designs for improvements to the environment of Paisley town centre.

The exhibition will feature proposals to resurface and widen pavements, and install new crossing points and street furniture.

The proposals are centred on the Causeyside area of Paisley Town Centre Conservation Area.

The WRVS Cafe, Unit 37, Paisley Centre, 20 Causeyside Street will host both the exhibition and the public meeting. The exhibition takes place from 10am to 5pm each day from Monday 3 to Thursday 6 October.
