Venue: County Square, Paisley
First band on stage: 1pm

Scottish rock band GUN will headline the Two Rivers Rock Festival 2010, and will be joined on the bill by The Virgin Marys and The Loud and Proud Rock Orchestra.

GUN are making a return to the music business after ten years away and with brand new album ‘Popkiller’ just completed, they’re sure to please the Two Rivers crowd with hits old and new.

Manchester group The Virgin Marys are on the cutting edge of the heavy blues revolution that’s about to take place. Inspired by Led Zeppelin and touching on the heavy indie-rock of the early 90s, they combine a unique approach with classic riff-led energy to produce a performance festival goers won’t forget quickly!

Paisley locals will be more than familiar with the super-talented Loud and Proud Rock Orchestra. This collection of youngsters certainly live up to their name and will be raising the volume a few notches with their performance on the day. The orchestra will also be performing in the Apollo Story at the Clyde Auditorium this August.

The festival takes place in County Square and will be presented by 96.3 Rock Radio’s Tom Russell and Father Ted.

Tom Russell said, “Rock Radio hosted the event last year as well and we’re just delighted to be back and part of the action again for 2010. The Two Rivers Festival is a brilliant day out for music fans and the fact that it’s free and people get to see such a high calibre of bands for nothing is just fantastic! There’s no excuse not to come down on the day and join in the fun.”
