The 2011 UK Sons of the Desert Convention is coming to Paisley. This will bring Laurel and Hardy fans from all over the UK to Paisley for a weekend of all things related to Stan and Olly. Although based in Paisley for the first weekend in May (still to confirm dates), there are trips planned to various places across Scotland.  The Bonnie Scotland Tent (each fan club is named after an L+H movie; and the name Sons of the Desert refers to the club that Stan and Olly were in, in the movie of the same name). The venue in Paisley is the Watermill Hotel.

The local Sons of the Desert meet at the Tartan Rose pub in Broomlands Street, Paisley on the last Wednesday of every month -showing movies from 7:30pm onwards.
