Keep it cool for Macmillan

A leading cancer charity are asking people to get on board for their festive ski and snowboard challenge to help people affected by cancer.

Macmillan Cancer Support are challenging you to take part in their Santa Skiing and boarding challenge which will take place at SNO!zoneScotland at Xscape on Thursday 10 December.

The event has a festive theme with all participants being asked to ski up and down the wintery slopes 40 times – which is the equivalent distance in magic reindeer miles from Glasgow to Santa’s workshop in Lapland.

Participants will be asked to raise sponsorship for the challenge; the charity hopes that this year’s event will be its biggest festive fundraiser ever. All the proceeds will be used to fund vital cancer services in communities across the West of Scotland.

Susan Selkirk, Macmillan Fundraising Manager, said:
“The event is open to all skiers and boarders who reach the minimum recreational standard at SNO!zone why not come along and show your support. The event will feature lots of challenges and entertainment as well as tobogganing. It will be great fun for all the family.”

If you feel up to the challenge and want to do something to improve the lives of those affected by cancer then Macmillan Cancer Support on 0141 952 0085 or email Susan Selkirk on sselkirk@macmillan.org.uk.
