At Kibble this festive season we will be selling Caring Christmas Trees to raise funds for The ACCORD Hospice in Paisley.

The trees can be ordered from

Caring Christmas Trees are fresh, needle-last, high quality and from sustainable tree farms.  They are available for around the same price as you’d pay elsewhere.

All our trees are freshly-cut, grade 1 standard, and Scottish-grown. They come only from managed, sustainable forests and are sourced from members of the British Christmas Tree Growers Association, who ensure high environmental standards.

All trees are Nordman firs: the most popular type of Christmas tree. It retains its needles very well, has glossy, deep green foliage and is an attractive shape. The needles, which point forward and grow round the branches, are soft and thick with white lines on the underside.  The bark is smooth and grey.

When you go to the website click on the tree named Paisley Kibble then on the coin icon marked Buy a Tree.  You must then select two things: the size of your tree and the date that you want to collect it. You will be asked to pay for your tree when you finalise your order.

You will receive an email as a reminder of your selected size, collection date and location. On your chosen date, go to the pick-up point at KibbleWorks4, 24 Clark Street, Paisley PA3 1RB.  Please bring a printout of the email reminder with you. At KibbleWorks4, you can choose your tree from those available in the size you selected. Volunteers will be on hand to help you with your tree. Your tree will be netted for safe transit.

If you are based in Renfrewshire, for a small extra fee, we can deliver direct to your home or office.

If you are buying a Christmas Tree this year please remember that Caring Christmas Trees will help to support the work of the ACCORD Hospice.

Please may I remind people visiting this website that the website is run by volunteers and has had no help whatsoever from Renfrewshire Council in any way towards the upkeep and running of this website ever.

We have tried asking for some support and help and for some reason they are more interested in trying to hamper our efforts rather than trying to help our efforts.

We have even offered to help Renfrewshire council and promote everything that they do, and we get no recognition of this..

To this end I only have to ask one question. What are we doing so wrong on this website that merits a more or less complete denial that we exist to Renfrewshire Council?

We have one aim on this website and that is to promote the town of Paisley, nothing else no hidden agendas no politics no religion just the promotion of its people its places and history.

Apologies to everyone about the website being offline last night, unfortunately we couldn’t control what was happening as our main hosts Interhost went down themselves so we couldn’t even contact them for a resolution to the problem.

Anyways it looks as though we ae 100% back online and everything seems to be fine, so have a lovely weekend everyone…

I was going down to my local Paper shop to pick up the Paisley Express so that I could see my adventures with the Cow’s from yesterday and was asked a strange question …

Did Cassius Clay Fight in Paisley, to which I replied.. Yes but I had only heard it through someone else so had to go back and do some research to make sure and sure enough, he did and found a few links as well which are well worth reading..

He Came to the Paisley Ice Rink and fought Jimmy Ellis, who assumed the title after Clay had been stripped of the title for not joining up to fight in the Vietnam War.

How amazing is history.. anyways you can read more from following this link, totally fascinating.

Now how did I get from Cows to Muhamad Ali? how Bizarre
