Scottish ministers have raised concerns that a planned strike at Scotland’s only oil refinery could cause serious problems for North Sea oil and gas.

A strike which could close down Scotland’s only oil refinery will go ahead after talks between the Unite union and plant bosses broke down.

Operators Ineos and the union held two days of talks at conciliation service Acas in a bid to halt the strike by workers at the Grangemouth facility. But they ended in stalemate on Wednesday evening.

As the shutdown of the plant is continuing in preparation for the stoppage on Sunday, how are you being affected? Have you found it hard to get fuel for your car? Have you seen evidence of panic buying? What’s your message to the two sides in the dispute?
