Support a worthy cause

I asked to post this on to the website from Councillor Derek MacKay who will be running in the London Marathon for an extremely worthy cause, please could I ask our visitors to support him in any way you can. Many thanks

On Sunday 13 April 2008 I will be running the London Marathon for the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).

The charity CRY works to raise awareness of Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS) and campaigns for proactive screening of young people. It offers help and support to those who have suffered a loss, provides medical information, carries out Mobile Cardiac Screening and ECG Testing Programmes within local communities and contributes to medical research. Hundreds of young people die unexpectedly of heart defects every year.

I will be running in a family team. Any sponsorship would be appreciated.
