St Mirren Youth Academy Golf Day
The big tee-off for this year’s St Mirren Youth Academy Golf Day will take place on Tuesday 2nd July at the Dundonald Links. All proceeds from the day will go directly to the St Mirren Youth Academy to support the excellent work being done in producing Saints players of the future.
Each team of three that is entered will be joined by either a player, member of the coaching staff, a director or a celebrity fan to make up a four ball who will all be in place for a ‘Shotgun Start’ at 9:00am on the day.
Prizes will be awarded for Best Team, Nearest the Pin and Long Drive competitions.
Entry for each team of three is £450.
The day will start at 8:00am with coffee and bacon roll. Then after the round of golf a three course lunch will be served at 1:30pm which will be followed by the presentation of prizes. There will be photo opportunities with the League Cup and you can also hear Danny Lennon’s thoughts for the forthcoming season.
Please note that there are limited team numbers so entries will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Teams will be drawn a week before the event.

St Mirren Youth Academy Auction
A number of players have donated their shirts and boots used during the season just ended to help raise funds for the Youth Development system.
Player worn mementos from the League Cup semi-final and final and the league campaign are up for grabs, so to be in with a chance of getting your hands on one of these prized possessions all you have to do is place a winning bid. The auction will run from now until 6/7th June.
As the latest class in the Football Fans in Training (FFIT) programme comes to an end St Mirren in the Community are looking to set up an exit strategy programme that will give participants a support mechanism as they start to go it alone.
The highly successful FFIT programme has been up and running since late 2010 and has helped many fans get back on the road to fitness by helping them to create a healthier lifestyle for themselves.
It was felt by previous participants of the programme that when the course was over that they felt left in limbo in terms of future support. During the 12 weeks of the course the support the participants receive is invaluable so we are now looking to carry that over beyond the course to try and help everyone stay on the right road for a healthier and fitter life.
With this is mind St Mirren in the Community are looking to put together a class initially on a Monday from 5:00pm to 6:00pm (start date to be confirmed) at the St Mirren Airdome where participants can take part in physical activity which will be predominantly a Walk Football session. The current group who are just finishing their course are very keen for this to happen so we now want to reach out to all former FFIT participants and the general body of Saints fans who want to be involved.
To get an idea of how many people would be interested in this programme we would ask you to lodge your interest in joining this programme by sending an e-mail to Community Coach Brian Sproul with your details. We will follow this up with an open night where participants can register for the support programme.
At present we also have the ‘Jogging Buddies’ which is held at the stadium every Wedesday evening from 6:00pm. We have two groups of ‘Jogging Buddies’ – one for beginners and another for experienced runners. All welcome.
Our highly successful Camps will be running again this summer with a full 6 weeks of activity and a something for everybody at all levels. The camps will be operating at the New Indoor Dome at St Mirren Park , Our Youth Academy at Ralston and a weeks Camp at Lochwinnoch (Lochbarr ) during Week 3.
The hugely popular Advanced player camp along with our Goalkeeper camp will be running at our very own Youth Academy, where perhaps your child could end up as a star of the future, so why not book early to avoid disappointment.
The new St. Mirren Airdome is a multi-purpose indoor venue suitable, with a synthetic all weather astroturf surface. It is suitable for a variety of sports and can comfortably accommodate different user groups. The dome is available for hire for birthday parties, sports events, club training and small-sided matches.
