Colleen Lupton, from PACE, said “A massive thanks to Pinnacle Training and in particular Billy (Jim) for some excellent paediatric first aid training with PACE Theatre Company yesterday. Interactive, informative and very entertaining! Loved Billy’s delivery style which has helped us all remember a lot of information! Thanks again for an excellent hands on and informative day. PS: am working on 120 compressions a minute!”
Pinnacle Trainings lead trainer and director Jim Furie, a Billy Connelly lookalike, believes in putting a strong emphasis on courses being fun and interactive.

“No one wants to sit staring at a screen listening to me talk all day; I find our candidates learn more and have a much better experience when they can get hands on, and really get involved. I prefer a relaxed and fun environment, I want to hear about your own experiences, and if you can get a good discussion and a good atmosphere, it allows everyone to relax and not feel like they’re back at school!”

Pinnacle Training offer a wide variety of courses, from First Aid, Fire Safety and Health & Safety to Construction and SVQ’s (OSAT).
As an accredited company offering First Aid, the Paediatric Course covers all of the major topics; CPR, falls, cuts/breaks, burns, bites, bandages, defib/AED etc.

“Fantastic, fun and informative training. Would recommend to anyone working with babies and young children (parents – this is of great benefit to you too). Hope I never have to use the training but well worth the time spent on a Sunday morning!”

Pinnacle Training is the one of only a few companies in Scotland accredited to deliver a level 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (as well as Level 2 in other trades) on an OSAT (On Site Assessment Training) basis.

This is good news for tradesmen both in Paisley and further afield; it allows a Joiner who has worked in the field and has experience, but who has not yet gained their qualification to work whilst being assessed, and if deemed competent and meriting it, awarded a Level 2/3.

This also applies to tradesmen who have lost/damaged their certificates or need updating and refreshing, as well as tradesmen from other countries whose awards need transferred to be in line with the national standards.

Other awards available are Interior Systems, Fitted Interiors (Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom), and Ceiling Fixing.

Even better news; there is funding available to cover most of the cost of this award, and Pinnacle Training provide the forms and guidance to attain this.

A new award on the course list also includes Level 1 Health & Safety In A Construction Environment (CSCS Green Card Qualification), which all on-site workers must complete.

Holding accreditation with 3 of the main awarding bodies, including SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority), Pinnacle Training’s lead trainer and assessor is both an Internal and External Verifier. This ensures quality training across the board, in line with national occupational standards.

Pinnacle Training travel to clients in Paisley and Scotland wide, working with all levels of businesses; from bar staff in pubs and clubs to high level management in the oil and gas industry. The wide range of courses ensures there are plenty of options for businesses requiring training and refreshers.

PINNACLE TRAINING MOVES TO PAISLEY
New premises and new relationships for 2013

Pinnacle Training, an accredited training provider, recently moved to Paisley and are looking forward to growth and expansion in the Renfrewshire area.
Pinnacle deliver bespoke training courses Scotland wide, covering a broad range of industry sectors including First Aid, Construction, Health and Safety, Fire Safety, OSAT VQ’s, Licensing and In-House short courses, among many others. Pinnacle Training also offer freelance Assessing/Verifying services, time served tradesmen
and professional services.

Pinnacle LogoPinnacle Training was established in 2012 and over the past year, has grown to be an approved training provider for large scale organisations such as North Lanarkshire Council.
They have one lead trainer/assessor/verifier, James Furie, who has over 10 years training experience, and over 30 years trade experience across various industries. Mr Furie previously ran a successful Property Maintenance business, before turning to the Training sector.
”I asked myself if there was a way to use my trade skills and knowledge in another way, and realised the Training sector was the way forward.” says Mr Furie.

Over 10 years later, after working with young people on the Modern Apprenticeship Programme, and working for various companies including HB Training,
Learning World Acadamies (Pearsons Group, Edexcel) and notably becoming an External Verifier for SQA, Mr Furie decided to start his own company; Pinnacle Training was born.

However, in Spring 2013, Pinnacle made the decision to move their business from North Lanarkshire to a new location; Paisley, Renfrewshire.
This move enables them to offer their services and training to a broader audience, whilst providing training services to Paisley Buddies.

Director and Lead Trainer, James Furie, says, “Moving to Paisley is an exciting development for Pinnacle, we are working closely with several organisations to make the transition as smooth as possible. We are looking to offer a few very special offers to the companies in Paisley, as a way of introducing ourselves and we are looking forward to being a part of Paisleys thriving community.”

As part of their move, they intend on working closely with local businesses offering discounts/promotions, announcing their events and courses through organisations such as Build Scotland, What’s On Renfrewshire, local Newsletters etc.
Pinnacle Training support local and national charities, and very recently delivered a free First Aid course “No Bodies Perfect”, Scotland’s Charity for Eating Disorders (SC043354). Previously, they offered free monthly Paediatric First Aid courses in the Lanarkshire area for members of the public and not-for-profit organisations; this is something to keep an eye out for in the coming months in the Renfrewshire area.
For a friendly personalised service, and no commitment discussion, you can contact Director James Furie on 07775428676, or email pinnacletrainingscotland@yahoo.co.uk. For anyone wishing for more information, all contact details and course list can be found on their website;
