Residents are being urged to put their best foot forward for a fun Easter walk at the Gleniffer Braes.

The walk, which will explore the lower braes, is suitable for beginners to keen walkers alike and is the ideal chance to get moving, enjoy some fresh air and spring into Easter.

Walkers are encouraged to wear an Easter bonnet as there will be prizes for the best – but you’re welcome to join in without one.

Senga McLeod, Walking Development Officer said: “We’ll be moving at a fairly easy pace on the Easter walk, so everyone is more than welcome to join us as we enjoy the views and fresh air that the Glennifer Braes have to offer.

“Walking is an excellent form of exercise and gives you the chance to socialise too, and if you want to get in the mood for Easter – we’ll be giving out prizes for the best Easter bonnets. We hope to see you there.”

The walk, on Wednesday 11 April, will meet at 1.00 pm at Glen Lodge Visitor Centre and is expected to take around an hour. There will then be an Easter egg hunt.
