Bridge of Weir Festival/ Gala week starts on Saturday 9th June with Gala Day in Houston Road Park 12.30 to 17.00 – parade from Cargill Hall sets off 12.00
Sunday 10th June Gala Praise in Freeland Church 19.00
Monday 11th June – Children’s Entertainment – Freeland Church 6.30 pm to 8.30 PM – entry £1.00 at the door and there will be a tuck shop.
Tuesday 12th June – Football Fiesta – Houston Road Park – 5-a-side football fun night. There will be three sections (A= P6 & P7 pupils) (B= 1st & 2nd year pupils) and (C= 3rd & 4th year pupils) all teams to consist of 5 players + 1 substitute (6 players maximum per team) All players must reside in the Bridge of Weir / Houston postal areas. No entries will be taken on the night.
Wednesday 13th June – The Weir Bar & Bistro Family BBQ 6.30 PM onwards
Wednesday 13th June – Hope Hall Family Fun Night in the Cargill Hall 6.30pm to 8 PM – Free admission for all the family
Thursday 14th June – Bridge of Weir Senior Citizens Association – Tea Dance in the Royal British Legion Scotland 2 pm to 4.30 pm- Entry £2 available from the committee bu you can pay at the door
Thursday 14th June – Festival Prize Bingo Night in the Royal British Legion Scotland doors open 7pm Eyes Down 7.30 PM – Entry £2 pay at the door and this includes a light buffet
Friday 15th June – Children’s Puppet Show in Bridge of Weir Primary School at 10 AM – village playgroups are most welcome to come along and join in – Free Entry
Friday 15th June – Disco for 7 to 12 year olds in the Cargill Hall from 7pm to 9pm – Entry £1 pay at the door. A tuck shop will be available.
Saturday 16th June – End of Festival Week Ceilidh with Scotia Ceilidh Band in the Cargill Hall 7.30 pm till late. Entry by ticket only £10 available from the Committee or contact 01505 615992 / 07816 354854. Light buffet and late bar. Minimum age 13 but anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
