Mary Ann Kennedy and The Campbells of Greepe at Paisley Arts Centre on Sat 28 April, 7.30pm

Gaelic legends perform at Paisley Arts Centre.

Five voices, one family, nine Mòd gold medals through three generations – a treasury of song and story.

The Campbells of Greepe are one of the great dynasties of Gaelic song.  Pipers and singers who loved to dance, they are widely considered the masters of puirt-à-beul, Gaelic mouth music.

Doyenne, Kenna Campbell, brother Seumas, daughters Wilma and Mary Ann Kennedy and niece Maggie Macdonald present a night of music and great craic, celebrating a new book and album of family songs family.

Mary Ann Kennedy and The Campbells of Greepe perform as a pre- Mòd event for the national Mòd festival in October 2012.

Gaelic Choir Event

Paisley MOD 2013

Why not come along and hear some fantastic Gaelic Choirs in Paisley?

On Saturday 3rd March from 7:30pm choirs including Govan Gaelic Choir, Glasgow Gaelic Musical Association and Cumbernauld Gaelic Choir will take to the stage to compete for the Provost Celia Lawson Gaelic Cup.

The evening hosted by Phàislig 2013 and Voices in Paisley Fringe is part of Weaving Music Threads, the free programme of arts and cultural events taking place in Paisley over the weekend.
The audience will also have the opportunity to vote for the winner of the Weaving Musical Threads/Mòd Phàislig 2013 tune competition.
