Ipdip Theatre is on cloud nine after Fringe success.

Specialising in interactive, tactile theatre experiences for very young families, Ipdip Theatre are currently on cloud nine following their recent trip to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Their residency at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh, saw them sell-out no less than 26 consecutive shows and performing their latest work, ‘Head in the Clouds’, to almost 1000 of the youngest theatre-goers and their families.

Now, Head in the Clouds will tour regionally, starting with two performances at Paisley Arts Centre on 5 Sept.

The show itself is all about Cirrus the sheep dog and his serious job: keeping watch on his flock of sheep.

Sheep mustn’t look up. They should keep their feet on the ground and listen to Cirrus’ sound advice. When a sheep looks up it sees the clouds floating like a flock of friends in the sky and so gently starts to drift up to join them. Before you know it, all the sheep are floating up above and poor Cirrus is left below trying to bring these woolly-headed dreamers back to earth.

Designed especially for children ages 0 – 3 years, Head in the Clouds is theatre that surrounds the audience with sound, touch and visual treats. Guided by the performers, all audience members are invited to help create the atmosphere and landscape of the story.

head-cloudsHead in the Clouds will be at Paisley Arts Centre on Thursday 5 Sept, 10.30am & 1.30pm. Tickets cost £4 adult and £2 child and can be booked by calling the Box Office on 0300 300 1210 or going online to www.renfrewshire.gov.uk/onlinebooking. The performance is suitable for ages 0 – 3.
